What is Risk Communication?

Risk communication comes in many forms as shown in the figure below. In this article, we shall adopt Lundgren, & McMakin, (2018) model that generally divide risk communication along functional lines, distinguishing between:

1. Care communication,

2. Consensus communication, and

3. Crisis communication,
